Oh Sow Simple California Poppy Mixed Seeds from Fothergills bring vibrant hues to brighten up your garden with ease. Perfectly suited for poor or dry soils, these poppies offer exceptional results when grown in borders, wildflower meadows, or containers. Their easy-growing nature makes them an excellent addition to any garden looking for a splash of colour.

Sow indoors to achieve flowers in the same year. Sow seeds 0.5cm deep in a tray of compost, water well, and place on a warm windowsill. A temperature of 15-20°C is ideal. Keep the compost moist, and seedlings will usually appear in 14-28 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings to other trays, spacing them 5cm apart. Gradually accustom young plants to outdoor conditions, avoiding frosts, before planting out in their final positions 25cm apart once frosts are over.
