Description

Lobelia Sapphire Trailing Seeds produce stunning, rich cobalt-blue flowers that cascade beautifully, perfect for hanging baskets, window boxes, and containers. These trailing plants are renowned for their vibrant colour and delicate appearance, featuring small white 'eyes' at the centre of each bloom that create a striking contrast against the deep blue petals.

The Lobelia Sapphire Trailing variety is a fantastic choice for adding a vibrant splash of colour to your garden, especially in hanging baskets or trailing from the edges of containers. Its cascading nature allows the plant to spill elegantly over the sides of pots, creating a beautiful waterfall effect of colour throughout the summer months.

These plants are ideal for creating a lively, colourful display in both sunny and partially shaded areas. Lobelia Sapphire Trailing thrives in well-drained soil and is known for its excellent performance in both containers and garden borders. It blooms profusely throughout the summer, attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies, which adds to the charm of your garden.

Not only do Lobelia Sapphire Trailing plants brighten up your outdoor space with their vivid blue and white flowers, but they are also very easy to maintain. With regular watering and occasional feeding, they will continue to thrive and bloom throughout the growing season, making them an excellent choice for gardeners looking for low-maintenance yet stunning plants.

Perfect for adding a soft yet vibrant touch to any space, Lobelia Sapphire Trailing is the ideal choice for those who want to create beautiful hanging displays or ground cover. Its versatility, combined with the enchanting colour combination, will certainly enhance the beauty of your garden, balcony, or patio.

Sow indoors, January-April. A warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow thinly on the surface of a small tray of pre-watered compost. Place in a warm, light position. A temperature of 15-20°C (60-68°F) is ideal. Keep the compost moist. The tray can be covered with clingfilm to preserve humidity, but remove when seedlings appear, usually in 14-21 days. Transplant them, in tiny clumps, 5cm (2") apart, to other trays when large enough to handle. Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out, May-June, 15cm (6") apart, into well-drained soil, when frosts are over. Flowers: June-October.
